Crystal R. Johnson, MSW, LICSW

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who works to provide professional psychotherapy services to people across multiple states including Massachusetts and Idaho. I founded my private practice in 2022 to empower clients to live a life they love, through a modern and relatable therapy experience. I consider it an absolute privilege when someone allows me to participate in their healing process. I specialize in family dynamic work regarding boundaries, relationships, anxiety, trauma, and challenging life transitions.

I have been practicing as a therapist since 2018 in various settings with children, adolescents, and adults. I have a natural curiosity toward people and strive to provide a non-judgmental environment in my practice. I take pride in understanding my client’s needs while providing quality mental health care. I intend to bring warmth, compassion, and curiosity to the therapeutic space.

I have experience working with clients ranging from early childhood through adulthood, which includes working with individuals diagnosed with PTSD or complex trauma, depression, and anxiety disorders. Previously, I have worked within public school systems providing individual and group therapy to children and adolescents, and IEP development. Additionally, I have extensive experience working with survivors of intimate partner violence and relational abuse. I strive to empower survivors to move forward in their relationships and increase their resilience.  

My approach to mental health counseling is modern because I find that it resonates with the populations I work with and feels genuine to me. I’m a millennial committed to making mental health relatable and relevant. I draw from multiple modalities including cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused treatment, all realized through an empowering, client-centered model of care.
